We at Mountaineer Ford are excited to hear that Ford is partnering with Spotify for future vehicle technology options. This announcement was made during the New York Auto Show and represents another link between connective technologies.
FordPass is the current entertainment platform, and adding Spotify will enhance the platform experience for Ford drivers. Spotify already interacts with Ford SYNCAppLink, which allows drivers to connect their smartphone and vehicle. However, the new relationship with Spotify will allow more music connectivity for FordPass members.
This technology option will help to create and deliver a best-in-class consumer experience. There will be a great music experience both inside and outside the vehicle, with the combination of FordPass and Spotify.
Spotify will also work with FordPass to provide news, sports, and audiobooks.
Jorge Espinel, Spotify vice president for business development, stated that “Our goal is to light up the FordPass experience with music. We want to be everywhere fans listen to music, and this partnership deepens our relationship with Ford and FordPass members.”
Launching in April, FordPass membership is complimentary for Ford vehicle owners and non-owners alike. FordPass plans on adding more businesses and partnerships as time continues. We at Mountaineer Ford are excited to see all the connective options with the FordPass platform.
