How to Celebrate Fall in West Virginia

Summer may be still be sizzling, but fall and the new school year are just around the corner. Make sure you’re ready to embrace the new season by making plans now with some of these activities curated by Mountaineer Ford.

West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival

This year is the 37th anniversary of this popular festival in Clarksburg. Join more than 100,000 attendees from September 1-3, 2017 to celebrate all things West Virginia with food and drink, live entertainment, exhibitions, and more.


This annual Pipestem event is held at the Appalachian South Folklore Center on September 7-10, 2017. Explore dance and performance arts from other cultures, as well as live world music, drum circles, artists, vendors, and more. There will even be a Kids’ Village where the little ones can have their own fun at Culturefest.

Harvest Moon Arts & Crafts Festival

This Parkersburg tradition is one event you and the family won’t want to miss. Visit City Park September 16-17, 2017 to take part in craft workshops, watch live music, and purchase local art. Take the kids to spend some time tiring themselves out in the inflatables. Grab some dinner at one of the vendors, and bring home some fresh, locally-made apple butter to enjoy well into October.
